Highlights:
Payyamblam beach is one of the best beaches in Kannur. The well laid out garden and
the massive landscaped sculpture of mother& child erected by Kanayi Kunhiraman makes it highly attractive. Also, it houses monuments to the celebrated
journalist Swadeshabhimani Ramakrishna Pillai and the revered Communist
leader Sri. A.K. Gopalan.
Moppila Bay: Located near the St. Angelo’s Fort. A fishing harbour built with
Indo Norvegian project assistance. The remnants of the temple & fort are
still seen in Mopila bay.
