Rishikesh River Rafting

Highlights:

Rishikesh is known for important Pilgrimage Centre set on the banks of river Ganga but white water rafting makes Rishikesh more popular in India. Rafting is an adventure sport which can offer most memorable days in your life.
 
Rafting is usually done in a rubber boat known as Raft and the rafting is being carried in rapids formed by river. Rafting rapids are graded from 1 to 6 depending on the ease, with which they can be navigated, with 1 being the easiest.

Rapids have been given popular names like Golf course, Three Blind Mice, Daniels Dip, Sweet Sixteen, Cross fire, Double Trouble and Roller Coaster.
Grade 3 rapids are most popular in tourist rafters at Rishikesh. Grade 3 rafting starts from Marine Drive to Shivapuri that extends 10 Km. Tourist can also go for 16 Km rafting which starts from Shivapuri& ends at Rishikesh (Ram Jhula).  This rafting categorized as Grade 4 and visitors will get an opportunity for Cliff Jumping. Rafters stop their raft on river side& they can jump to river from the top of Cliff.  Spectacular scenic beauty on the river banks of Ganga adds another punch to Rishikesh Tourism.

India Gate



Highlights:
At the centre of New Delhi stands the 42 m high India Gate. It commemorates the 70,000 Indian soldiers who lost their lives fighting for the British Army during the World War I. The memorial holds the names of more than 13,500 British& Indian soldiers killed in the Afghan war of 1919. Lord Irwin, dedicated the monument to the Nation and later Amar Jawan Jyoti was added when India got its Independence. The eternal flame burns day and night under the arch to remind the nation of soldiers who laid down their lives in the Indo-Pakistan War of December 1971.
During nightfall, India Gate is extravagantly floodlit while the fountains nearby make a spectacular view with coloured lights. India Gate stands at one end of Rajpath, and the area surrounding it is generally referred to as 'India Gate'.

Lotus Temple



Highlights:

Lotus temple, as popularly known due to its flower like shape is a prominent attractions in Delhi. The Lotus Temple is termed by many as the Taj Mahal of modern India. Its distinctive lotus shaped marvel in marble is surrounded by a landscaped garden and is a symbol of peace. It was completed in 1986 and serves as the Mother Temple of the Indian subcontinent. It has won numerous architectural awards and been featured in hundreds of newspaper and magazine articles.

The Lotus Temple is open to all regardless of religion or any other distinction. Since its inauguration to public worship, the temple has attracted more than 50 million visitors, making it one of the most visited buildings in the world. It welcomes four million visitors each year and the Temple has received wide range of attention in professional architectural, religious, governmental and other venues.

Shimla Tourism

Highlights:

Shimla was the Summer capital  of  India under British rule . Presently, it is the state capital of Himachal Pradesh. Shimla is often referred to as the "Queen of Hills. The city is named after the goddess Shyamala Devi, an incarnation of the Hindu Goddess Kali.
 
Shimla offers dense woodlands, natural beauty, architectural buildings, wooden crafts, apple orchards and beautiful landscapes.

The route from Kalka to Shimla on the narrow gauge is a major tourist attraction. The route offers natural beauty of trees of fir, pine, walnut, apricot and terraced paddy fields of corn and the famous capsicum, locally known as 'Shimla Mirch', runs through 102 tunnels. Shimla has numerous rivulets, small streams and springs and provides opportunities for trekking, rock-climbing and ice-skating.

Jakhu Temple is a majestic temple and dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Situated on the top of the beautiful Jakhu hill at an altitude of 2455 meters above the sea level, it is surrounded by forest.

Christ Church at the Ridge is the second oldest church in northern India constructed in 1846-1857.

Dorje Drag Monastery is a major tourist destination in Shimla. The mesmerizing monastery stands gloriously and shines with its holistic features of Tibetan Almighty.

The Kali Bari Temple, one of the ancient temples of the city, was built in 1845.

The Palace of Maharaja Patiala is positioned in the midst of Himalayan Pines at an altitude of 2,250 metres at Chail. The palace was constructed by the Maharaja of Patiala in 1891

Kothi

The temple is located 5 Km from Manali& worshiped as a manifestation of Durga and an image of the goddess is also enshrined here. During Dussehra, the Goddess is being trasnported to Kullu to visit the lord Raghunathji.
