Highlights:

East Sikkim is one of the four administrative districts of Sikkim. East Sikkim, occupies the south-east corner of the state and the capital is Gangtok. The district is a very sensitive area with the Indian Military force control over most areas east of Gangtok and near its borders. Tourists to this region are restricted and just a few areas are open to tourists in the areas east of Gangtok.  To enter this region a special Permit has to be taken prior to departure. This pass is made through local tourist offices.

Zuluk:  Breathtaking view of the sunrise is one of the main attraction of Sikkim tourism. The sun rise offers a spectacular view to visitors. The snow clad tip of the Khangehenzonga with sun rays illuminating the peak, adds another punch to Sikkim tourism.

Gantok:  The neat and clean city of India makes way for excellent tourist spot in India. The city locates 6500 meter above Sea level. The visitors can reach Hindu Ganesh temple, attain panoramic view of Gangtok town, Khangchendzonga and Siniolchu.

Tsongmo Lake: lake is situated on the Gangtok - Nathula highway, 12200 feet above sea level. It forms a part of the old trade route from India to China. Tourist can reach Lord Shiva temple,
Primula flowers and other alpine vegetation grow around the lake. During winter the river Lungtze Chu originates from this lake and meets the Rangpo-chu offers a spectacular view.

Nathula Pass: Locates 14800 feet above Sea level. The Indo-China border at Nehru Road where by Indian troops and the Red army stand face to face. It is one of the highest altitude roads where motor can reached and richly covered by various species of Alpine Flora and Fauna.
