Ladakh, the far-flung eastern part of Jammu& Kashmir state, is India's most remote& sparsely populated region, a high altitude snow desert sandwitched by the Karakoram Mountain range on the North& Great Himalaya to the south. Ladakh has an extravagant Scenic beauty. Ladakh covers an area of 1,00,000 sq kms& often called 'Mini Tibet', because of its topographical and cultural similarities with neighbouring Tibet. In the early days, Ladakh played an important role being strategically placed at the crossroads of important trade routes to Central Asia. Ladakh provides great opportunities for adventure sports like river rafting, trekking, mountaineering. Trekking in Ladakh created a platform for the curious travelers attraction of Himalayas.

The Ladakh, are sweet natured, hard working& fun loving people making every occasion as special moment with festivities. There are a number of Monastic festivals held through out the year& the dates are counted according to Tibentan calender.

Ladakh has a rich heritage of folk dance. The dances are elaborate, colourful, and majestic with mostly slow& gentle movements matched by the richly adorned dress& music.
